CORAL GABLES, FL – May 9, 2019 – The Business Improvement District (BID) of Coral Gables, an autonomous non-profit organization dedicated to advancing commercial vitality in Downtown Coral Gables and Miracle Mile, will kick off its second annual Coral Gables Culinary Month on June 1. Throughout the month, there will be a variety of entertaining activations and dining specials at participating restaurants.

This year also marks the twelfth anniversary of Coral Gables Restaurant Week, taking place June 3-23 during Culinary Month. More than 30 local restaurants, including Ad Lib, MesaMar Seafood Table, Ortanique on the Mile and others, will be offering prix fixe menus and specials during the event’s three-week span.

“Coral Gables Culinary Month is back with even more ways to enjoy our expanding Downtown Gables restaurant scene,” said Taciana Amador, Executive Director of The Business Improvement District. “With so many events and specials available, there is something for every foodie to enjoy.”

Popular area restaurants will host special events, from annual tasting dinners at long-standing favorites, to coffee cuppings at new spaces. Additional new events include “Freebees on the Freebee,” where unsuspecting Freebee riders will have the opportunity to participate in a Coral Gables trivia challenge and compete for prizes from local restaurants. There’s also the Bark Crawl, a doggy twist on a bar crawl that will take dog owners and their furry friends on a journey through the district’s restaurants that feature outdoor spaces and offer up refreshing drinks and pet-friendly treats. Patrons and visitors will also have the opportunity to compete in a “Culinary Month Passport” challenge by seeing how many local restaurants they can dine at for a chance to win a grand prize that is sure to satisfy any palate.
